Psychosophy is the name Rudolf Steiner gave to an approach to psychology and psychotherapy based on Anthroposophy. It was established in his lecture cycle named Psychosophy in Berlin in 1910 with the intention of forming the foundation for a science of the human soul based on true knowledge of the spirit. In light of this introduction to Anthroposophical psychology - most of Steiner's teaching of the following 24 years can be regarded as extensions and deepening of Psychosophy, and his earlier works can be seen as its epistemological, philosophical and esoteric foundation. Therefore the term Psychosophy at Persephone Institute designates the whole field of the systematic study of the human soul in light of Rudolf Steiner's Anthroposophy and its practical applications. |
